1. Reading: Please read 15 minutes each night. Your reading log is stapled to your homework folder. Your parents should fill it out with you.
2. Spelling: Write word sort 3 words three times each in your spelling journal. Then write one sentence for each word. Please follow this example:

Word Sort 3 Words: (long a words) frame, snake, rain, crane, skate train;
(short a words) bag, map, bat, jack, ram, crab (you have a total of 12 words)
3. Math: complete the worksheet in your folder. (Some students have two worksheets – an additional challenging worksheet or a review worksheet for those who need more practice.)
4. Writing: A. Complete the worksheet in your folder.
B. Write about your favorite pet on your writing paper. If you don’t have a pet, make up a pet. Answer the following questions:
What is your favorite pet? What is his name? How old is he? Where did you get him? Why is he your favorite pet?
When writing, remember to space your words, use a capital letter at the beginning of your sentence, and use a period at the end of your sentence.
