Spring...Almost!

Dear Parents and students,

It is almost spring and that means several things.  Conferences are over...I enjoyed seeing all those parents who came, and  ACCESS testing is also over. Thank you boys and girls who worked so hard on your tests.  The next big event is Spring Break! Yeah, we are all looking forward to that, but remember there are still a lot of study/working days in between.  So let's make the most of the time we have left and continue to do a good job so that we'll be ready for the CRCT!

Welcome back to Powder Springs!  I'm looking forward to working with all my ESOL students.  First though, I'll be testing all the kindergarteners and any "new" to Powder Springs ESOL students.  I'll begin to working with all students the second week of school.  See you then!

Ola los padres,

February has been a very busy month for ESOL students.  We are just now completing the very important ACCESS test.  Scores will come into the school at the end of the school year in May.  Parents will be notified of the results at that time.  I continue to get new students which makes me very happy!

I just attended a very informative conference specifically for ESOL students held at Kennesaw State University.  I learned a number of exciting ideas which I'll be trying out in the classroom.
