Multiplication and Math Day

Dear Parents,

The students have shown much interest in learning about multiplication. In second grade we focus on the concepts of multiplication before we focus on recalling the answers to multiplication problems. Please visit this website to help your student understand some of the concepts we are teaching them in the classroom. This website will help reinforce what the students are learning in class about multiplication. Have fun!

*BTW: We are planning a grade level "Math Day" to help the students prepare for the upcoming CRCT. The purpose of our math day will be to review the 2nd grade math concepts that we have taught throughout the year - addition, subtraction, money, etc. The students will rotate to each teacher's room and participate in fun, hands-on learning experiences that are related to our math standards. We are looking for parent volunteers to help us on this day. Please email msdribeiro@yahoo.com if you are interested in helping out. The date is Friday, April 18, 2008. We would love to have you:-)
